now that my 4-year-old son can ride a bike (sans training wheels), we've sold the bike trailer. spending a few days up in breck w/ extended family, we packed up all 4 bikes on the jeep for our first official out-of-town family bike ride. grandma joined us, as we left breck headed to frisco. luckily the free bus shuttle stops every now & again, so bailing is an option. i didn't expect my son to make the whole trip, but was damned impressed that he went as far as he did (over 6 miles)! he & i caught the bus back to town, and the girls went on to frisco.
i'd say he definitely earned his post-ride ice cream cone!
