so i had thought about spending my 40th birthday solo in the desert, contemplating life and whatnot, but instead i decided to go for a (frigid) ride and share a drink w/ like-minded friends... and then start a 'blog.
when i left the house at 3:40pm it was 27˚ outside. once at the meeting spot, 5 of us brave souls (below: kirk, hillary, bill, john) went for a nice spin around bear creek lake park. dusk was quickly fading and much of the northerly trail was covered in snow, but really fun nonetheless. bike of choice tonight was the rigid ti bonty 96'er.
afterwards we (minus bill) dropped in to the morrison inn, to be met by: ed, jenny, anthony, jason, and dave. beer, margaritas, shots, and some tasty mexican food ensued; good company & good food. thank you kindly for the birthday dinner folks.
