R O A D L I T E

since it's too damn cold to ride, i was instead window shopping the web for what else, bike parts… stumbled across this (below) which caught me by surprise– 1) you don't see too many of them B) it was up in boulder (my backyard). my thoughts quickly went to rationalize why i would need a road bike (haven't ridden one since high school): my peers tell me that it is a great way to build speed and endurance that transfers over to the dirt; if nothing else, i'd want it because it was another creation by KB himself, and the man knows a thing or three about designing damn fine bicycles.

alas, it quickly e$calated beyond what i'd be willing to pay for it (as is often the case on ebay). in the end, it went to a virtual acquaintance of mine– mr. orange from the MTBR VRC forum (a bonty collector extraordinaire, and the former art director(?) at bontrager cycles back in the day). i can rest assured it will be well taken care of, and hopefully even see some pavement time. as for me, well i've already recovered from my momentary lapse in judgement… (a road bike?! p'shaw).

(though it is nice to look at, isn't it?)
