hillary called a "meeting of the minds" at GCB to have a pint w/ bill before he leaves for austin. so i decided to throw the bike on the jeep and just pedal around golden for a bit beforehand. ended up west of the bike path (under the highway) and was surprised to see a new bridge spanning clear creek. right now, basically a bridge to nowhere, as access on the south side is blocked. a running passerby told me of a singletrack sighting, though she had never ridden it. i checked it out– definitely not bike-friendly (at least ascending), and my ankle prohibited me from hiking much beyond a few hundred yards. looks to be a (new) hiking trail straight up the north side of lookout mountain.
